Building a No Kill Nation One Stray at a Time

(Formerly Feral Cat Alliance)

Happy Holidays

Ireland

Meet Ireland. At only four days old, she and her four sisters and feral mom were delivered from the streets to the pound – to be killed – like every other feral cat in our pounds.

Fortunately, SCA intervened. Today, all five kittens live in happy permanent homes, and their mom, now fixed and vaccinated, is lovingly cared for
in a safe backyard.

This is a day in the life of the Stray Cat Alliance.

HELP MAKE THE HOLIDAY SEASON A
WARM ONE FOR AN ANIMAL IN NEED.

Dear Stray Cat Alliance Member,

As chills fill the air and warm thoughts of the holidays begin to fill our hearts, I’m reminded of how the severity of winter affects so many animals whose home is whatever refuge they find on our streets.

I am also reminded about how much we have helped those animals this year and in the past, and how determined we are to help more next year than ever before.

I want to thank you for the compassion you show the homeless cats and kittens of Los Angeles by supporting the Stray Cat Alliance in our efforts. This year we’ve made sure that 2400 cats were spayed or neutered and received inoculations and medical care. We've take into our foster/adoption program over 350 needy and at risk cats and kittens.

We’ve educated and provided support for numerous neighborhoods throughout Los Angeles in the management of feral colonies, and continue to maintain countless feeding stations for homeless cats and kittens throughout the city. We have even stepped in to help law enforcement bring about justice in cases of animal cruelty.

I know you share my view that, although once neglected, these precious animals deserve comfort, medical care when necessary, and, like any other creature – acceptance.

Please consider a generous holiday gift to SCA on behalf of the homeless cats in our city so that we can begin the new year stronger than ever – and closer to the day when no cat will know neglect, pain, poor health, condemnation and fear on the streets.

This vision is possible. And at this time of year, when we express gratitude for all that we have, and extend kindness towards those less fortunate, we hope you will join us as we speed towards that goal.

Thank you again for your continued support. We hope the holidays bring you joy, and that the new year is one of renewal, vibrant health and success.

In Appreciation,

Christi Metropole, Executive Director
