WE DID THE MATH AND
THE RESULTS ARE SHOCKING!

Dear Friends of Felines:

YOUR DONATIONS ARE URGENTLY
NEEDED! HERE’S WHY:

The most important service the Stray Cat Alliance provides is to stop the cycle of homeless cats born in our communities through our spay and neuter programs.

Each month, we offer clinics where cats are sterilized, given vaccines and flea and worm treatments.

After a brief recuperation, the cats are returned, to be cared for by kind volunteers.

Although free to the public, the cost to SCA for each cat is $44, and in order to continue to provide this crucial service, we need your help! Last year, with help from caring people like you, SCA held spay / neuter clinics at which 1,422 cats were sterilized.

Roughly half of those cats were female.
If each had not been spayed, she would likely have had 2 litters with 4 surviving kittens per litter, which means there would have been an additional 5,600 homeless cats born into backyards, alleys, parks, schools, industrial areas, parking lots and other locations around our community by now. If half of those 5,600 kittens were female and bred this year, and their mothers bred again as well, then 28,000 more unwanted kittens would begin to be born right around now.
Because of your help last year, that didn’t happen.

But there are many, many more cats we must fix and care for.

This year, our goal is to get 2,500 more cats spayed or neutered. We’re off to an impressive start: on January 7, 2007, 113 cats were sterilized, on February 18, 187 cats were sterilized, and on March 25th, 153 more cats!

Whether or not you personally bring a needy cat to a clinic, your tax-deductible donation will allow you to help the stray cats around you in a profoundly kind way.

We hope you will help us in this life-saving effort by sponsoring a kitty or two or 10! Every dollar counts, and for every cat spayed or neutered, an innocent animal suffers considerably less.

PLEASE help us continue our free spay/neuter programs!

If you or your company would like to sponsor a spay day, we will be happy to acknowledge your generosity in our publications. Please call us for details.

On behalf of the innocents,
Thank you!
