65 Year Old Compassionate Stray Cat Feeder May Face Jail Time

Please come on Wed, July 1 2009 to the Beverly Hills Court House to support Catherine Varjian, a 65 year old woman who may face jail time for feeding hungry, abandoned stray cats in the Ciy of Beverly Hills. Unbelievable in this day and age.

Ms. Varjian is being represented by her daughter who is an experienced attorney. We need a HUGE show of support for this wonderful, giving person. This will set a TERRIBLE precedent for stray and feral cat feeders if she goes to jail (which is possible), probation and or STIFF fines. We cannot let this happen.

If you love animals, PLEASE show your support. Go to work late, be there. The news will be there and everyone needs to see that the cats are cared about. Cats are often the forgotten ones even by animal people. And strays are really forgotten. Let's let the world know that the strays and ferals are important and we have their backs.

-If you live in the City of Beverly Hills, you MUST MUST MUST come.

Date: Wednesday, July 1, 2009
Time: 8:30 AM
Location: Beverly Hills Court House
Division 2
9355 Burton Way, Beverly Hills, CA 90210
Near Foothill, watch street parking signs

PLEASE also Call the Mayor of Beverly Hills Nancy Krasne at 310-285-1013

PLEASE BE EXTREMELY POLITE. Mayor Krasne is a good person, loves animals and this is not her fault at all and her office staff is extremely polite so let's keep it civil. Let's show them that animal people can be strong, united and have manners at the same time.

Who We Are

The Stray Cat Alliance: Building a No Kill Nation One Stray at a Time.

The Stray Cat Alliance is committed to the care and protection of the forgotten strays living in the shadows of our world. Our programs are a large piece of the puzzle in creating a “No Kill Nation,” where a home is found for every healthy or treatable companion animal, feral cats are fixed and properly cared for, and sterilization is readily available.
